Full Moon to New Moon: February 1 - February 16th, 2026
Full Moon in Leo (February 1st)
The Moon will peak in fullness in the afternoon of February 1st, so peep the sky on both the 31st and the 1st to see her in all her glory. The Full Moon occurs at 13 degrees of the sign of Leo, opposite the Sun, Venus, and Mars. It brings a fiery, confident, extroverted energy. I think this is a great lunation for socializing, revelry, and a little friendly/spicy competition.
I love how expressive this energy is - it gives us the opportunity to courageously show how we feel. Tell your friends how much you appreciate them, make your partner feel seen and loved, be silly and fun with the kids in your life. Though we should do our best to live from the heart every day, it’s even easier to do that with the Leo Moon shining down on us.
It's possible there could be isolated instances of melodrama or ego-tripping, but remember that removing air can snuff out a fire. If you ignore the folks using this energy the wrong way, you’ll be able to redirect attention to joy and celebration.
Eclipse season (begins Feb 9th, ongoing through March 10th)
Eclipse season is typically a 4-week period that contains both a Solar and Lunar Eclipse.
To me, Eclipse season feels like a cosmic Wild West, where you never quite know what you will get. But in that sense, I also think it pairs very well with The Wheel of Fortune, which is the tarot card for 2026. I’ll have more to share in the next blog about how to capitalize on Eclipse energy, but I want to put it on your radar now.
It’s quite possible that significant world events will occur in the days around the Feb 17th Eclipse. Also, events could come to a head in your own life after February 9th, too. Whether an Eclipse feels personally significant depends on your birth chart. If you are familiar with yours, check if you have planets or angles around 28 degrees of Aquarius. Also, check the house of your chart that Aquarius falls in. This will give you more information on how the energy may show up for you.
Saturn joins Neptune in Aries (February 14th - 28th)
When Neptune and Saturn come together in the sky, we might experience positive or challenging manifestations, depending on what is unfolding in our lives. On the positive side, this combo is about bringing structure to and physically manifesting your dreams. It’s about making the “ideal” real. It can help you bring discipline, form, and function to your highest creative impulses. The Meditate Like a Witch series, which meets while these planets are active, would be an awesome use of this energy!
The Saturn-Neptune combo can also symbolize the dissolution of structures/institutions. The structures are ones people have relied on, been part of, or been oppressed by. This energy might also reveal that people have been wearing rose-colored glasses. If so, they will be confronted with the truth behind the illusions during this time.
However Saturn-Neptune plays out on an individual or global scale, it tends to happen quickly. And it can impact a different area of life for each of us depending on where the sign of Aries lies in our birth charts.
Since I love history, I'll leave you with a couple noteworthy events that took place when we previously had this same Saturn-Neptune combo: The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, and the Russian revolution in 1917!
Looking forward to discussing all things Eclipse in the coming weeks. If you’re curious to know how an Eclipse will interact with your birth chart, get in touch! kelsey@theastroyogi.com
