Full Moon in Cancer (January 3rd)

This is a big, potent Full Moon! It will be physically larger and higher in the sky due to its orbit. And more importantly, it occurs in its own sign of Cancer, which means its energy is amplified. Any Full Moon has a greater effect on the water’s tides. And energetically speaking, a Cancer Full Moon especially pulls the “tides” of our emotions. You may experience gratitude, nostalgia, sadness, and love more acutely this weekend. This is a great couple days to turn on an old playlist and get in your feels. Family in all its forms could be an important topic now. Additionally, you might find yourself thinking about your roots, your ancestors, and the groups/people you belong to and how that shapes your identity. You could feel a pull to be at home. And indeed, A Cancer Moon is an excellent time to give your home a little TLC. Would your home feel more cozy if it was a bit cleaner, more organized, more decorated, or if you had something delicious baking in the oven? If you go out, I recommend partaking in activities (or being with people) that feel familiar and comforting.  

Capricorn Season (now - Jan 18th)

Now that we’re through the holidays, you may feel a pull toward more routine and structure. And Capricorn season is here to oblige you, babes. If someone asked me to pick a song to represent Capricorn energy, one of my go-to’s would be Britney Spears’ “Work Bitch”. I listen to it like a mantra at this time of year. Capricorn energy is connected to things like perseverance, responsibility, personal excellence, manifestation, achievement, and leadership, to name a few. It offers us the chance to tap into the BOSS archetype. Though you might immediately think about work when I say that, it’s not only about that. I prefer to think of it like being the boss of your own life. This season is an invitation for more personal agency. Capricorn energy says, “You can achieve any dream, when you’re willing to plan and work toward it”. And with 5 planets traversing this sign between now and January 18th, we can tap into some serious motivation. I highly recommend everyone start visualizing what they want for 2026. I won’t write specific intentions/goals until the Capricorn New Moon later this month, but these next 2 weeks are a time to feel, draw, & meditate on what you want to call in this year. Remember, do not give attention to that which you’re leaving behind in 2025!
